Chicago's alternative station Q101 put out a compilation disc with proceeds to go to Clara's House - a shelter for battered women. Being a fairly new station, this was a bold move, and a statement by Q101 to tell the world that Chicago IS a music mecca. Some artists features were Die Warzau, Catherine, Simple Simon, Triple Fast Action, Ike Reilly (pre Ike Reilly & the assasination yrs) The Drovers, Phantom helmsmen and Material Issue. This rare version of Self Healing was actually re-mastered and the non-radio friendly words ducked out of the song. In the early days of "parental advisory" stickers on records, Q101 wanetd to assure airplay for the Simons. Pay attention to that as you listen.
